I recently visited one of the most famous contemporary art museums in the world, the Guggenheim. For those that may not have taken art history 101 in college, contemporary art, is art made by artists who are living today. In essence it is modern art. The experience was cool no doubt, and there were some fascinating exhibits but, the real takeaway I had was how astoundingly dumb some of the art was.

There were literal sticks and rocks hanging from wires and posted to the wall as an exhibit in one of the most famous and recognizable museums in the world. Now, I did take art history 101 in college but by no means am I an art expert. What I am getting at here is that it shocks me that people think digital art is ludicrous and has no value when you can visit any modern museum in the world and see pieces that are absolutely perplexing as to how they are considered esteemed works of art. Seriously, try it. Go to a modern art museum and tell me what you see I’m sure you will arrive at the same conclusion.

That being said, I am not here to critique art I don’t know anything about it other than what one individual to another may find aesthetically pleasing to look at. I am here to tell you that the digital art revolution is very real and will be very big whether you understand it or not.

Fortunately, for me, I can consider myself an NFT OG after just one cycle since it’s where we found our roots in crypto. Like I said, I am not an expert on art but I do know human behavior and I know a big picture idea when I see one. I also know for a fact, that some of the deepest pockets in crypto, if not the world, are parking large sums of money in this sector.
